Action Learning Activities

Welcome to the fabulous word of hands-on, experiential, action learning challenges. These are activities that get teams off their "ifs, ands, or buts" and into a powerful place of engagement. Each activity requires that your team work together in new ways in order to accomplish a seemingly impossible goal. The experiences are not only unforgettable and behavior changing, they are also perfect segues to powerful debriefs and discussions about teamwork — the next step in the process of your group becoming a team or your team becoming a high performing team.

Face the Music: An interactive "business blues band" edutainment. Our savvy blues band is expert at getting diverse audiences to write and perform original business blues songs. This two and a half hour intervention energizes, clears the air, and gets your people tuned to participate at their highest level. Hailed by CNN as "in tune with corporate America.

Drumming Up Teamwork: A powerful way to get large groups of people in sync, in rhythm and experiencing that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. We provide the percussion instruments and facilitators. You provide the space and the willingness to literally get "hands on."

Improv Theater: A dynamic series of engaging theater games that spark spontaneity, creativity, collaboration, risk taking, and laughter. Opens the door to original thinking. A great way to loosen people up and get them participating in your event — not just judging it. Facilitated by Masters of the Improv Art.

What's the Big Idea? Game Show: A fun parody of a TV game show in which contestants are rewarded for thinking out of the box, challenging old assumptions, generating new ideas, and collaborating. The results, however, are more than fun. Many actionable, business-savvy ideas are generated.

Juggling: Face it. Deep, down inside, just about everyone on the planet wants to learn how to juggle. Well, the time has come. Idea Champions has taught more than 10,000 people in the past two decades. The activity, however, is far more than fun. It's also a powerful metaphor that helps people get deep insights into who they are and how to go beyond obstacles blocking them from breakthrough creativity.

River Crossing: A very cool and customizable teambuilding challenge for up to 200 people. Perfect for an end-of-conference "aha" — especially if you want conference attendees to come away with a sense of victory at the same time they are learning about what it takes to become a high performing team.
