Unspoken Word

WRITTEN JUST AFTER PREM RAWAT'S MORNING EVENT at AMAROO TODAY

There is a moment after lovers make love
when they do not want to take their leave,
do not want to place their feet back on the ground
and return to whatever is next.

This moment is divine, whole unto itself –
the sacred space between in breath and out.

There is a perfume in the air,
but nowhere knows where it comes from.

There is a great silence
and the kind of feeling that has written every love poem
since the beginning of time.

Yes! There is a moment after lovers make love
when they do not want to take their leave.

IN THIS GRAND RODEO OF LIFE

In this grand rodeo of life
welcome the lasso of love,
be captured by it, feel the tug,
know you are not bound by this rope,
never were, never will be,
only freed,
every invisible knot
untangling.
