The Breakthrough Café
Featured in FAST COMPANY
and The Chronogram

WOODSTOCK, NEW YORK: Mitch Ditkoff, co-founder and President of Idea Champions is currently featured in the January, 2006 issue of FAST COMPANY magazine. Ditkoff's latest brainchild, The Breakthrough Café, was a great success last October in Woodstock, New York and is now ready to go on the road to corporate venues nationally and abroad. A reporter from The Chronogram, ("a mid-Hudson Magazine of Events and Ideas") also attended The Breakthrough Café and gave the event an excellent review.
"Ditkoff's breakthrough has come to pass"

As Ann Braybrooks reports in The Chronogram, The Breakthrough Café is a combination "party, restaurant and brainstorming session…to help people get unstuck, to move past the obstacles that bar the way to a more ecstatic existence. The Café is a place where procrastinators, the creatively challenged, and the eternally perplexed can get together to exchange ideas, stories, and solutions, and to support one another." As Danielle Sacks from FAST COMPANY magazine reports, "(attendees) are trying to get past their pasts-and push unrealized ideas to reality." When describing the culmination of The Breakthrough Café she attended, Sacks states that, (Ditkoff's) café is just two nights old, but already his breakthrough has come to pass."

Designed as a moveable feast, the next iteration for The Breakthrough Café is designed for the corporate world. As Ditkoff states, "we're already planning a number of corporate Breakthrough Café's for 2006. We customize the events as part of the overall agenda of a client's meeting or conference. But our ultimate goal is to empower our clients to innovate and implement workable ideas themselves. That's why we offer our clients training to teach them how to conduct their own Breakthrough Café's. The people who are trained – who we call, 'InnoWaiters' – will be capable of being freelance innovation catalysts in their organizations. We also offer a customizable online option as a follow up/support network for people who attend a Breakthrough Cafe (see: www. innowiki.jot.com). So overall we're providing a unique way to help organizations jump start and sustain their efforts to become hotbeds of innovation in today's rapidly changing marketplace. And we do it in a way that is fun, compelling and effective."
