... the disgusting noise of car alarms, no one gives a hoot when they go off...
...put a kill switch in the ignition so that when the car has been entered without a key, the motor will not engage...
...and one more thing... those annoying cars that honk the horn when you lock the car...is there any rationale for that stupidity?

Get rid of the alarm sound. It has become a nuisance and it does not get the desired response - police reaction to a possible theft. Suggest a silent alarm. Camera hidden in the overhead light fixture that, when a break-in occurs, takes a 360 degree photo of the interior and exterior (thru windows) of the vehicle. Then through something like OnStar, sends a burst transmission to a satellite. It is routed to a soft ware program that analyzes the threat and sends a notification to the police and owner's smart phone along with the GPS location.
